CBF awaits coach’s response to define the future of the Brazilian team
The president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, said this Tuesday that he will wait until the 25th of May for a response from the coach who can take over the Brazilian national team.
If Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti does not accept the invitation, the CBF will go to plan B, which could include names like Fernando Diniz, Abel Ferreira or Jorge Jesus. According to the president, the CBF’s objective is to exhaust all the possibilities of plan A before choosing another option.
The expectation for Carlo Ancelotti in charge of the Brazilian national team
Ancelotti was informally probed, but has not yet received an official approach from the CBF. Publicly, the coach has said that he intends to fulfill the contract with Real Madrid, which runs until June 2024. Fernando Diniz, his game philosophy consists of offensive play and encouraging ball possession and exchange of passes. Despite not having won significant titles, he is considered one of the most promising coaches in current Brazilian football and, therefore, draws the attention of the CBF.
