On Saturday, Brazilians and Nigerians played a busy and balanced first half, even with the difficulties imposed by the pitch. It was the Nigeria team that threatened first, with Salim Fago hitting the crossbar. However, the Brazilian response was more effective. In the 42nd minute, after a corner kick, Jean headed towards the goal.

After the goal conceded by Nigeria, the opposing team tried to attack with more intensity, which resulted in the opening of spaces in their defense. Brazil, for their part, skilfully took advantage of these opportunities and, in a quick counter-attack before the break, managed to score a second goal. In the first half’s stoppage time, Marquinhos received a pass from Savinho and finished with precision.

In the second half, Brazil adopted a strong marking, frequently followed, which left few chances for both teams. Safely, the team managed to maintain the advantage built in the first half, thus guaranteeing its second victory in the competition.

Meanwhile, coach Ramon Menezes led a team throughout the match and is now preparing to return to Brazil in the next few hours. Soon, he will announce the squad’s call-up for the June friendlies, which will be played against African teams in Europe. The official announcement is scheduled for 11:30 am this Sunday, at the headquarters of the CBF, located in Rio de Janeiro.
